Have you heard the one about "Back to the Future" Predicting 911??
by EndofMysteries inwhen somebody posted this on fb, i was anxious to see how ridiculous it would be, probably worse then the gb prophecies, etc.
after watching the clip, i honestly don't know what to believe.
at the very least it's very entertaining and interesting.

There's a big difference between being born into a cult and joining one when an adult though. Born ins dont deserve any derision at all in my book. -

Anyone who falls for this sort of thing is easy pickings for a cult.
A bullshit detector. You need one.

How many of us are 'perfectionists'?
by FayeDunaway ini made a medium level mistake at work today, and when i make mistakes it really shakes me up and takes me a long time to recover.
it completely rattles me, makes me feel awful about myself.
my mind keeps going back to the mistake reliving how i could have let it happen.

reporting for duty!
I find myself cringing at things i did or said even as a child whenever they flash up in memory. I relive them over and over.

Belief in God Can Be Turned Off Like a Light Switch
by cofty inresearchers in york used magnetic stimulation to target an area of the brain called the medial frontal cortex in a group of volunteers.
a control group received a sham treatment.. both groups were asked to think about death.
the group who experienced the magnetic energy reported 32.8% less belief in angels, god and heaven.. when faced with difficult challenges people often take refuge in ideology.

They would all fit on the isle of Wight?
by purrpurr ini remember once asking how the planet could possibly accommodate all the people who have ever lived?
after the resurrection i mean.
the answer i was told is that the gb had calculated that all the people who have ever lived could all fit on to the isle of wight?!.

Just using 8 billion living now there would be 21 people per square meter, so no, they wont fit.
Using a round 100 billion for everyone who ever lived (allowing for the 8 billion dead at big A) then that jumps to 263 people per square meter.
So, total utter bollocks.

The Old Age
by Caupon inso now that most of us have come to a semi truthful understanding that the witnesses are wrong about evolutionist, there is a certain question that i have always had.
now if you were to ask any jw, they'd recite a complete fallacy from scientist regarding this.
but what is you guys input of this.

are you ex-JWs not the least suspicious that Scientists too might have their own agenda?
So you arent an exjw then as you didnt include yourself in that?
The only ones who come on here to bash science are the wilfully ignorant or the Brahma Kumaris cult.

Don't.
Ever.
Marry.
Or.
Fall.
For.
A.
JW.
Or ...an EXJW who still believes in it, as they may later return.
You are in for a whole heap of problems if you do.

You would think tree rings would be pretty reliable. But even there, trees can grow more than one ring in the same season depending on conditions.
